Curriculum
We are very proud of our extensive and varied curriculum here at Woodcocks' Well CE (VA) Primary School. Our intention is to provide a broad, balanced and rich curriculum which gives the early skills required for life-long learning with a focus on enabling our children to be confident, independent, resilient, passionate and aspirational. By developing their character and understanding of God at work in the world, our children will be able to make reflective, sound judgements; having a positive impact on our wider community and society by valuing all. We tailor our teaching to match the needs and interests of the pupils and we endeavour to ensure every child has the skills they need to succeed in life, not just academically, but socially and emotionally too.
Along-side the delivery of the statutory National Curriculum, we place an emphasis on learning outside the classroom with dedicated weekly sessions. Our curriculum is then enhanced with a range of planned enrichment activities, educational visits, extra-curricular activites, the opportunity to play a range of musical instruments, learn different languages, the opportunity to develop skills in a range of team sports and undertake a role on one of the many leadership councils.
