Visit from a superhero paramedic

Date: 15th Oct 2018 @ 12:14pm

Today we had a visit from a very special superhero! Mr Swain, who is a paramedic, brought his ambulance into school and told us all about the things that he does when he is saving or making people feel better.

After listening to and asking lots of questions, we went to look at his ambulance and he told us about the equipment that paramedics use. We sat in the ambulance and then Mr Swain switched on the lights and sirens. We counted over 26 blue lights flashing on the ambulance! The sirens were really loud and we had to cover our ears!

Mr Swain told us that to get help in an emergency we must dial 999, but we must only ever dial for the ambulance if it is a real emergency.

We want to say a really big thank you to Mr Swain for coming to visit us.
