The first week back...

Date: 8th Sep 2018 @ 9:33am

Well who would believe we've only been back at school for four days?

I just wanted to let all of our lovely parents know how very proud they should be of the children from Maple class this week. Let me tell you, the year three children were most definitely ready to become year fours and the year four children were also definitely ready to become year fives! They have all stepped up to their new roles beuatifully!

We've really hit the ground running this week. It's always a little daunting starting a new school year, particularly when you have a new teacher and a new classroom, yet we've already got used to our new routines and begun to look at our new topics too.

Our topic this term is World War Two and I have already been so impressed by all the things the children already know. It's lovely to hear that the children have gone home and asked mums and dads questions about their own family history linked with the topic as this really personalises our learning.

We've also started our science topic, which is living things. I wonder if any of the chidlren can remember what seven processes must happen to say something is living? Think MRS GREN!

We look forward to sharing lots more about our learning as our year progresses.

Miss Booth :)
